About Us
Established in 2017, AM Counseling and Consulting is a bilingual mental health practice in Omaha and Bellevue, Nebraska, offering compassionate, culturally responsive therapy and counseling services for individuals, children, teens, couples, and families. Our group has grown quickly because of a shared vision: to provide high-quality, whole-person mental health care that honors each client’s story, culture, identity, and healing journey.
Our team currently includes 18 bilingual, native Spanish-speaking practitioners who provide a wide range of mental health services, including individual therapy, family therapy, couples counseling, substance use support, trauma-informed care, medication management, clinical supervision, and professional training. We are proud to offer therapy in English and Spanish and to serve people of all ages, backgrounds, cultures, and gender identities, with a special commitment to supporting Latino, immigrant, Spanish-speaking, bilingual, and underserved communities.
At AM Counseling, we believe healing happens in relationships where clients feel seen, respected, and supported. Our approach is warm, collaborative, and strengths-based, helping clients build insight, develop coping skills, strengthen relationships, and move toward emotional wellness. We hope our space offers acceptance, understanding, peace, and connection.
Below, you will find a brief description of our work and approach with clients. We encourage you to reach out with any questions or to request an appointment with a specific provider.
Our Mission
Our goal is to minimize the disparities in availability and access to quality mental health services among the underserved Latino population of Nebraska. Our group will serve to enhance awareness and destigmatize mental health problems and services for people with mental illness, their care-givers and loved ones through education, support, empowerment, and coordination of resources. We will strive to provide services that are culturally competent, aware of socio-economic disparities, and available in the client's language.
